Dr Katerina Savvaidou is the Secretary General for Public Revenue at Ministry of Finance, which is the responsible Tax Administration of Greece.
Katerina Savvaidou graduated from Kapodistrian University of Athens’ School of Legal Sciences, has a Diploma of French Studies (D.E.U.F.), a Master’s Degree in Public Law (D.E.A. de Droit Public Intern), a Master’s Degree in Public Finance and Tax Law (D.E.A. de Finances Publiques et Fiscalite) and a Ph.D. from the University of Paris, Assas, with a thesis title: “The compulsory collection of taxes in French and Greek law”. She has pursued Post-Doctorate Research in Corporate Taxation at Kapodistrian University’s School of Legal Sciences. She also received executive education on “Comparative Tax Policy and Administration” at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
Katerina Savvaidou is a lecturer at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and has taught at Kapodistrian University of Athens, National School of Public Administration and National School of Judges. She has published extensively in Law journals. Katerina Savvaidou is a successful lawyer specializing in taxation law, with an extensive career in the private and public sector. She has worked as a Lawyer of the Supreme Court and as a senior Manager at PwC, Greece.
